The Librarian Times (TLT) started its journey on February 17 in 2017. Over the years, their publication and different professional activities have forged an impressive widespread recognition and become an authoritative Library and Information Science (LIS) platform for the promotion of the librarian community in Bangladesh and Bangladeshi LIS professionals live overseas.
It is particularly impressive that TLT is the first to take a number of initiatives in the LIS profession in Bangladesh including awards, webinar, formal collaboration and digital weekly news bulletin.
During the foundation day, there were some awards presented to talented students and professionals who have been continuously contributing to the profession.
TLT is going to announce a number of awards this year as well. This year, a new category entitled Dr. Nazim Uddin Memorial Award will be added, recognizing the achievements of industry professionals and academic excellence in LIS education. The recipients of the award will be voted by selected board members.
The nominations and selection process for the awards will be announced soon.
