Today On the first working day of the week, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended the upward trend of the index. At the end of the day, the main index decreased by 57 points and settled at 6,461 points.
The share price of the majority of the companies traded with the index increases. The average price of 232 shares of the traded company and mutual fund units increased.
Similarly, shares and unit prices of 116 companies and funds declined and 25 remained unchanged.
Shares of engineering companies were at the top of investors’ interest today. Investors also had an eye on shares of companies in other sectors.
Shares of almost all companies in all sectors and unit funds of mutual funds have been rising since morning. However, the engineering sector was relatively ahead. Due to this, at the end of the day, this sector comes to the top.
Today, the contribution of this sector in transactions is found to be 16 percent. The pharmaceutical and chemical and textile sectors were also not far behind. The contribution of this sector in transactions was 15 percent.
At the end of the day, the transactions on the DSE are seen to be higher than before. Today, a transaction of Tk 2,017 crore has been made here. Of this, 57 companies had a turnover of Tk 61 crore in the block market.
1 crore 39 lakh 31 thousand 31 shares of the companies have changed hands 109 times. Robi Axiata has the highest turnover of Tk 18 crore 29 lakh 60 thousand among the companies. Southeast Bank had the second-highest turnover of Tk 5 crore 16 lakh 96 thousand and Phoenix Insurance had the third-highest turnover of Tk 4 crore 92 lakh 46 thousand. ♦
