Saif Powertec Limited, a listed company in the stock exchange, provided personal protective equipment (PPEs) to the Payra Port Authority in Chittagong to help tackle the coronavirus pandemic.
Managing Director of Saif Powertec Tarafdar Md Ruhul Amin handed over the equipment to Payra Port Authority Chairman Commodore Humayun Kollol on Wednesday.
The protective materials include 1,000 surgical masks, 300 rubber gloves, 25 personal protective equipment (PPE), 25 goggles, five infrared thermometers and five litres of Hexisol.
“Saif Powertec Limited will always stay beside Payra Port Authority in any of their needs,” said Ruhul Amin.
The company’s directors Tarafder Md Ruhul Saif and Aminuzzaman, as well as senior officials of the port and Saif Powertec were also present.
Recently Saif Powertec contributed Tk2 crore to the Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund to help fight the virus.
The company also engaged in power and material handling solutions, distributed relief material among day labourers working in the terminals of the Chittagong port. ♦
