It is inevitable that the future global trading system will be based on digital and online platforms. Already, countries like the United States, China, and India, have started expanding world marketplaces by utilizing the benefits of Digital trade. To keep Bangladesh ahead in this world trade race Merchant Bay is going to organize “Digital Trade Week” for the first time in Bangladesh.

“Digital Trade Week” will be a 7 days program starting from October 15 to October 21, where Bangladeshi suppliers and international buyers can connect virtually and Merchant Bay will promote digital trade opportunities with Bangladesh to the world. Also, speakers from world-renowned organizations both home and abroad will take part in various sessions during the seven days of Digital Trade Week. Industry leaders and influencers will discuss and share valuable information on the future prospect of digital trade, leadership, and the garment industry in Bangladesh.

Throughout this week, buyers from all over the world who will join this virtual event will have an open eye on the Bangladeshi suppliers through Marchant Bay’s online platform. Merchant Bay will promote verified suppliers to global buyers and help buyers better understand the market and suppliers in Bangladesh.

Abrar Hossain Sayem, Managing Director of Merchant Bay, said, “This is the first Digital Trade Week in Bangladesh in the readymade garments sector. Bangladeshi suppliers can connect with countless buyers from 50 countries around the world. Verified suppliers of our platform can participate in digital trade week for free. A success manager will be appointed with each supplier so that suppliers can connect with buyers. The success manager will match and connect buyers with a supplier’s relevant product, factory capacity, and other factors.”

However, only Merchant Bay’s verified suppliers will be able to participate in the Digital Trade Week. The verification process is simple, suppliers can apply directly from their profile to get verification. Based on the application, a representative from Merchant Bay will examine the information and a verified badge will be given to the suppliers. Products and profiles of verified suppliers will be promoted to buyers worldwide through Success Manager.

Merchant Bay Digital Trade Week is open for buyers around the world. Through a free registration, buyers will be able to connect with verified suppliers of our platform to access the Bangladeshi manufacturing industry.
