Both Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) have decided to reschedule trading hours from today for an indefinite period amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
From now on, stock trading will be conducted from 10:00am to 1:00pm for an indefinite period.
Both the bourses issued separate press releases in this regard yesterday.
From March 18, following the freefall of stock prices, the DSE and CSE had been trading from 10:30am to 1:30pm without any break.
The releases also said that the schedule for trading had changed due to the change in banking transaction hours amid the pandemic.
The authorities of the bourses requested investors to transact digitally via their phones and online to avoid physical contact of any sort. ♦
