BASIS launches new website and mobile app

To avail of the timely and efficient service of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), for its members, the organization has launched a state-of-the-art website and mobile app on Saturday.

As part of taking and implementing various programs to improve the quality of services for its members, BASIS launched the website and mobile app through a webinar where Mustafa Jabbar, the Minister of Posts and Telecommunication (MOPT) inaugurated the new ventures as the Chief Guest.

During the webinar, the founding member of BASIS and MOPT said, “The advent of the pandemic has catalyzed the digitization process globally. China, Japan, Malaysia, and countries that have integrated IT in the health sector have tackled the crisis effectively.”

The MOPT further highlighted the government’s policy on Information Technology surrounding the 4th Industrial Revolution.

Additionally, former BASIS Presidents Habibullah N Karim, S.M. Kamal, A. Towhid, Shameem Ahsan, Rafiqul Islam Rowly, Mahboob Zaman, AKM Fahim Mashroor, Sarwar Alam and Farhana A. Rahman, Senior Vice President also participated in the webinar.

Calling on all BASIS members to respond quickly, BASIS Senior Vice President Farhana A. Rahman had asked them to update their information using the website and the app. “We have introduced a system that is efficient and will help us to access everyone’s data records so that we can sync our services with the needs of the member. BASIS members will be able to access most of the subscription services online using this interactive web application and app,” she added.

Syed Almas Kabir, the current president of BASIS regarding the newly launched website and app stated, “The new BASIS website will provide a separate ID for all members, through which all user information will be stored separately. Our specialized services such as member information, transactions, etc. have been made easier to avail more than ever before.”

Other speakers acknowledged the initiatives of BASIS and made the remarks that it will make the associated operations and service much more informative, easy, and dynamic.
