Bangladesh Premier League champions Bashundhara Kings closed their Costa Rican recruit footballer Daniel Colindres’s chapter by citing inability to bear wages of the forward in off-season.
The 35-year old Colindres, who was part of 23-member Costa Rica of 2018 Russia World Cup, had played a vital role for Bashundhara by winning the prestigious title of the professional football league and Independence Cup in his debut season of 2018-19 and finally turned himself into the main hero of this season’s Federation Cup triumph before the 2019-20 season was called off due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Forward Colindres told reporters that a good time of his life he spent in Bangladesh, especially with Bashundhara Kings, the club’s management and coaching staffs are excellent and he would remember it.
He said he always tried to improve the football of Bangladesh by giving his best effort in the matches. It was actually a superb journey for him in Bangladesh.
During his stay in Bangladesh Colindres said he had an opportunity to meet a lot of people and saw a lot of things.
The Costarcan forward Colindres, who is likely leave Bangladesh on Monday (June 15), said he tried his best to improve the national competitions and qualified Bashundhara Kings for AFC Cup. ♦
