After four long years, one of the popular bands of Bangladesh Aurthohin is going to start the show in Dhaka again through Dhaka Rock Fest 2.0.
Saidus Khaled Sumon, the lead vocalist of Aurthohin, said this at the inauguration ceremony of Dhaka Rock Fest 2.0 recently.
The country’s popular band Aurthohin refrained from shows as the lead vocalist of the band had been physically ill for a long time due to stomach cancer. After receiving treatment, he has been recovered and returned to the world of music.
Dhaka Rock Fest 2.0 is going to start for the second time on 23rd December organized by Sky Tracker Limited and sponsored by Banglalink Digital Communication Limited.
15 popular bands from the country will take part in it. They are Warfaze, Aurthohin, Avoidrafa, Cryptic fate, Indalo, Shubhajatra, Conclusion, Shrapnel Method, Brahmaputra, The Tree, Subconscious, Thrash, Arekta rock band, Calypso.
The concert will be held at Hall No. 4 (Navratri) of the International Convention City Bashudhara in the capital.
Popular entertainment app Toffee will stream the whole event, Payment Partner is Bikash, Health Care Partner Prava Health, PR Partner MediaQuest Bangladesh, Ticketing Partner is Gate Set Rock and Dhaka Live are the broadcasting partners.
Saidus Khaled Sumon, the lead vocalist of Aurthohin, said, “We have not done any show for 4 long years. After a long break, I am going to start the Dhaka show through this first Dhaka Rock Fest 2.0. We are very happy to be associated with this Rock Fest. With the blessings of our fans, we are able to return to the world of music. I hope I will come back with something better than the songs I used to give to the audience.”
Regarding the organizing of Dhaka Rock Fest 2.0, Doza Allan, CEO of Sky Tracker Limited, said, “Rock music is one of the popular genres of band music. This trend is very popular among the youth of Bangladesh. For the second time, I have organized this year’s Rock Fest with the popular brands of the country.”
Note that Aurthohin is one of the most popular bands in Bangladesh. Sumon is the founder and team leader of this band. The band, which started in 1999, has released 7 albums so far. Their first album Trimatrik released in April 2000. All the albums of this very popular band have been best-selling from the beginning.
So far, their last album Cancer er Nishikavya was released in 2016. Originally a rock band, but now they are also doing heavy metal songs. ♦
