The county’s two bourses, Dhaka Stock Exchanges (DSE) and Chattogram Stock Exchanges (CSE), have extended their ongoing closure till May 30 in accordance with extended public holidays declared by the government to contain the transmission of coronavirus.
This was confirmed from separate press releases issued from both the DSE and CSE recently.
The trading and settlement activities on the DSE and CSE will remain closed till 30 May in line with the extended government holidays, according to the authorities.
The public administration ministry issued a gazette notification extending the shutdown to May 30, including Eid-ul-Fitr, weekly and special holidays.
The government further extended the ongoing shutdown until 30 May 30 as the death toll from COVID-19 and the number of COVID-19 patients keep rising. ♦
