National Tubes Limited (NTL), the only pipe producing company owned by the government, has started to make profit in recent years.
Until March of 2019-20 fiscal year, the company has made profit of Tk 92.27 lakh and contributed Tk 7.1 crore Vat and Tax to the government exchequer, said a press release of Industries Ministry.
The company produce international standard MS, GI and API pipe for housing state and irrigation, said NTL Acting Director General Shah M Ziaul Haque.
Before the independence, NTL was a factory under Adamjee Group which was nationalized in 1972.-
